Flexible displays bring in potentially interesting designs and form factors for devices and the category that offers the most potential for flexible displays is the wearable devices category like smartwatches, for instance. But it looks like the device to come out first in the commercial mainstream market with flexible displays will be smartphones like LG's G Flex. A South Korean news organization called Asia Economic has reported that Samsung is preparing to unveil a new smartphone called the Galaxy Round later this month.
Asia Economic claims that the Galaxy Round could see a launch as early as sometime this week priced at approximately $933 or 1 million won in South Korea. There aren't any details whatsoever about specifications, but if the report is right the other details will be available before long.
