A lot of people don’t realize that Ferragamo was founded and has a long history in Hollywood. So its latest undertaking will be a grand Hollywood affair–Ferragamo is sponsoring tomorrow night’s opening gala of the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, a new performing arts center poised to be the West Coast’s answer to Lincoln Center (and look at how fashion-y that’s become). And not only that: Ferragamo will also open a pop-up shop at the venue where an exclusive capsule collection designed by creative director Massimiliano Giornetti will be available to shop from October 18 through November 15.

“Ferragamo’s origins are rooted in the celebrity culture of Hollywood, a foundation for me to evolve that legacy as we return to Los Angeles for this momentous occasion,” Giornetti told us of the new project.

Rather than one iconic style, the new capsule collection will celebrate a variety of Salvatore Ferragamo’s best designs including the invisible wedge, hybrid silk sandals, and woven calfskin heels. Basically, it’s a lot of really great, timeless accessories, which, luckily, will also be available on Ferragamo.com through a digital version of the pop-up.

Though what we’re probably most excited about is Giornetti’s one-of-a-kind Hollywood Collection of gowns to be unveiled on a few A-listers at tomorrow night’s gala.

While its accessories are consistently covetable, Ferragamo isn’t really a brand we think of as a red carpet mainstay, despite its Hollywood roots. Sounds like it’s looking to change that.

We’ll have to wait until tomorrow night to see the gowns, but click through to peep the full accessories capsule collection.
