Ubisoft and Hasbro today announced a new partnership that will allow the Assassin's Creed publisher to develop and publish current- and next-generation games based on board game franchises like Monopoly, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Risk, Battleship, and Cranium.
"We look forward to collaborating with Ubisoft to offer consumers innovative new ways to experience their favorite gaming brands," Hasbro SVP and GM of digital gaming and corporate development Mark Blecher said in a statement.
Ubisoft SVP of sales and marketing Tony Key added that the French publisher is "thrilled" to have the opportunity to create console games based on the company's brands.
Ubisoft did not announce any new Hasbro games today.
Ubisoft is not the only rights-holder for Hasbro games. Electronic Arts last month announced a new four-year partnership with the company for mobile games, while Activision continues to hold the rights for the Transformers series.
