Temperley London: Enchanted Cruise 2014
We are never disappointed with Temperley London’s designs and once again, upon having a sneak peek at its Cruise 2014 Enchanted collection, we’re in awe. The line stays true to Temperley’s rich and sumptuous aesthetic and timeless quality with some extra beautiful standout occasion pieces. Alice Temperley is even dubbing it her favourite ever collection to date, so you just know that you‘re in for a treat.
Feminine florals and appliquéd three-dimensional laser cut petals are key to the collection, appearing on an array of separates from long extravagant skirts to cute tops. The flowers, influenced by buttercups and primroses, are strategically placed on each of the garments to avert the eye line and add to the appearance of the feminine silhouette. Plus, the fact that each floral print is carefully hand printed, and digitally engineered before applying, adds to that luxurious feel, which is typically Temperley.
Voluminous long skirts play with the female form, as the colour palette consists of bright pops of cerise alongside subtle creams, cinnamon, lavender, navy, and ecru. The occasion pieces are extra jaw-dropping this season, as laser cut detail adds delicate interest throughout the length of gowns, and mesh panel shoulder inserts are decorated with pretty petals once more.
